 +**Personality and Description**\\
 +----
 +
+As a monk he wears the proper orange monk robes and bears a shaven head. However despite renouncing the material world, he refused to shave his beard.
 +
+Similarly, he disregards other common rules among the monks such as avoiding fights and drinking, both which are favorite pastimes for Huyan Sheng. While he is a monk, and believes in the awakenism philosophy, he does not follow it fully and often still has ties to the material world - such as his love for wine and fighting. He can also be a bit unruly but will try his best to be respectful, after all he is still a man of virtues and cares for the common people.

 +**Biography** \\
 +----
+Huyan Sheng was originally born in a district of Louyang further from the main city. There, he was a common laborer as the son of a butcher. He often helped his father and thus his muscles became well toned through labor and carrying heavy packages. In his spare time, he enjoyed play fighting with other local children through the use of sticks.
 +
+As he grew up into his later adult years, he continued to help run his father's business but his father was still in charge. He became his father's top assistant. Although their business was well, they had no store to sell their meat to, so they sold to merchants who would sell the meat for them at raised prices. This was tolerable, for a time, but eventually one of the merchants, Dong Ye, a rich man bought out the rest of the merchants and began a monopoly, raising prices to ridiculous levels. Many people were unable to afford the goods and so he levied a tax on the people through grain, salt, and any other goods they could produce in exchange for his goods. He became known as Dong Ye the Tyrant.
 +
+Horrified by Dong Ye's bullying of the people, the Huyan family began to use their own home as a market to sell their meat directly to the people. Dong Ye caught wind and had the local police arrest Huyan Reng, Sheng's father, for various made up crimes such as evading taxes. Dong Ye had bribed the local officials, including the two officers that arrested the father.
 +
+Angered, Sheng tried to clear his fathers name by lobbying the people and notifying the police. His pleas went ignored as the corrupt officers intercepted his calls for actions and dismissed them. The people suffered and his father was still arrested. Huyan Sheng could see no other way out of the village's plight, so he took matters into his own hands and stormed Dong Ye's home, killing him through blunt force. Two of the corrupt officers, the same that arrested his father, were nearby and hurried to the scene. They too were killed and Huyan Sheng fled. His neighbors, who supported his actions, hid him for as long as they could, but eventually the police began a search. Under the advice of his hosts, Huyan Sheng fled to a distant monastery where he pledged himself as a monk in order to clear himself from all crimes.
 +
+Ever since, he has been a monk of the Louyang Monastery, although his monk brothers are sometimes disturbed by the way he is still attached to the material world. They still allow him to stay however, seeing some promise in him and his virtuous nature.
